WBTL Course
Training courses on Intercultural communication to interpret the cultural codes of the persons involved in the relationship (prejudices, stereotypes, etc.) in order to facilitate communication exchange and avoid misunderstandings
Country Fiches
Effective snapshot of 30 most relevant countries in terms of migration tendencies according to UNHCR with the following learning outcomes: to recognise migrants’s cultural, personal and professional caracteristics and conditions.
Tools of interest
Mapping of Tools of interest arranged in 4 areas emereged from assessement: General overview of origin countries, Identification of migrant’s needs, Supportive relationship, Intercultural communication and transversal tools. These tools are extracted from KILT project (Leonardo da Vinci Program - LLP – 2013-1-FR1- LEO05-48430) and COE Toolkit, elaborated inside the Council of Europe’s project “Linguistic Integration of Adult Migrants” (ILMA).
Cross-cultural alignment tools
when mapping migrants’ NFIL competences, the CROSS-CULTURAL ALIGNMENT TOOLKIT
is designed to be easy to use to raise the educators’ empathy towards the migrants so that they can:
+ Better understand the roots of the migrants’ cultures to work more productively
+ Recognize when the migrants are experiencing culture shocks and develop a plan to ease their own transition to the destination country
+ Learn about the migrant country's history, government, economics, demographics and educational and social issues, so they can communicate knowledgeably with them
+ Look at their own cultural history and values so they can see how these affect their interactions with others
